The Dandy-Walker Alliance connects families and creates a support system for those with Dandy-Walker Syndrome. We raise money to fund genetics research led by Dr. Kimberly Aldinger at the Seattle Children's Research Institute. With your help, we can continue to raise awareness, support families, and fund this research that searches for genomic mutations associated with Dandy-Walker.
Support our efforts and participate in this year's Dandy-Walker Awareness Month Virtual 5K! Sign up below, and then run or walk a 5K (3.1 miles) sometime during the month of May.
We want to see you in action! Send us pictures of your walk/run to [email protected], and post them on social media with the hashtag #DandyWalker5K. We'll post our favorites on our website! Plus, send proof of finishing a 5K during May (e.g. a picture from your excursion, screenshot of your phone fitness app, etc.) and we will send you a personalized Dandy-Walker 5K Finisher Certificate!
If you're in Connecticut, our Northeast Coordinator Krystal Lacey is organizing an in-person walk/run for this event on Sunday, May 21 at the Fairfield Hills Complex in Newtown, CT. There is no additional cost on top of the registration fee below if you choose to participate in person. To complete your 5K in the company of other Dandy-Walker families and supporters, fill out this form and email [email protected] for more information!
